This range was introduced to take advantage of materials now offered to manufacturers to help achieve a more eco-friendlier product. As surfers, manufacturers, and the general public, we now strive to leave a smaller footprint on this earth. 


BIO-TECH comes from the term Bio-technology, defined as a formed chemical composition that is altered to make a more healthy and environmentally friendlier product. (Not to be declared as a 100% Eco-Friendly product). 

The surf manufacturing industry will continue to progress in this ideology and produce more products in the future for the benefit of the earth and our health.

BASALT CARBON

Basalt fiber is a material made from extremely fine fibers of basalt, which is composed of the minerals plagioclase, pyroxene, and olivine. It is similar to fiberglass, having better physicomechanical properties than fiberglass,

Basalt fiber is made from a single material, crushed basalt, from a carefully chosen quarry source. Basalt of high acidity (over 46% silica content) and low iron content is considered desirable for fiber production.

BIO EPOXY RESIN
This bio-based epoxy resin is solvent free and specifically formulated and optimised as an eco-friendly alternative. Components used in the manufacturing are made from renewable feedstock and byproduct of existing industrial processes. Production consumes less energy and water than standard petroleum based epoxies, and also reduces wastes and greenhouse gas emission.

FLAX

Natural fibres are subdivided into different classes with flax being a bast fibre. Bast fibres bear the potential for industrial usage based on their toughness and structural contribution.

The ecological superiority of flax fibres compared to glass fibres can be proven taking human toxicity, greenhouse gas emissions and non-renewable energy consumption in mind. All three properties present significantly smaller environmental impact for flax fibres.
